Unheating turned three this week! This truly snuck up on me – I realized it about 5 minutes ago as I sat down to start writing. Today is January 22, and I published my first article here three years ago on the dot. Looking back, I’m struck by how much I have learned since then. I hope you’ve learned a little along the way too.
Over these three years, we have watched the impacts of climate change pile up. Yet, incredible strides have been made with solutions – from a surge in renewable energy, to the rapid adoption of electric vehicles, to technological advances in everything from batteries and building materials to nuclear energy and power transmission.
So, while the need for urgency in solving climate change has become more obvious, people, companies, and governments are stepping up. There is much to be hopeful about. Now is not the time to slow down or wave the white flag.
With that in mind, I want Unheating to bring you value. My goal is to share climate information in a way that is simple, calm, relatable, and hopeful. I appreciate every time you email me with comments and suggestions. Today, I would love everyone’s feedback on how Unheating can improve.
