“Nothing I say this day will teach me anything. So if I’m going to learn, I must do it by listening.”
Larry King
Hello friends! It’s been almost two years since I started Unheating. Since then, my goal has been to consistently publish a short article every week. There is a head-spinning amount happening in the world of climate change, and there is no end to the ideas on my list of potential topics. Today I am taking a breath and wondering what’s on your mind.
Taking a breath
Some of you have been here since the beginning, and others just hopped on board last week. No matter how long you have been reading, thank you! It’s gratifying to know there are others out there who care about this problem I am so passionate about solving.
If you glance at the topics I have covered since the beginning, they are all over the map. I spend A TON of time educating myself about all things related to the changing climate. Then, I attempt to share with you what I learn in a way that is simple and pragmatic. I am hopeful we can figure this out, otherwise I wouldn’t be here. That said, I want to deliver something that is useful to you.
What’s on your mind?
I enjoy hearing from you, but I joke with my husband that sometimes putting this blog out in the world is like a tree falling in the woods. I know people are reading, but what I don’t know is what you are thinking. So, today I want to ask you for feedback on anything you are willing to share.
- What aspect of climate change is most important to you?
- Do you know of something I should read up on?
- What worries or confuses you?
- Have you heard about a solution or new technology you want me to cover?
- What past topic would you like to me to expand or update?
I honestly want to know what you think. I’m not selling anything or monetizing this blog…I just want to put information out there that’s helpful. Trust me, I can handle constructive criticism like a champ – I raised two teenagers after all, and they felt free to point out my every flaw. In that spirit…
- How can I make this blog better?
- Do you have any specific suggestions about frequency, length, or tone of my articles?
- What would make you more likely to share this with a friend?
- Any other thoughts or ideas?
That’s all for now, but please do consider dropping me a note. I will be the only one who reads it (I turned off public comments because of a technology glitch), but I promise to listen. Can’t wait to hear what’s on your mind!
